Innovation Living™ is a Danish furniture company built on the proud Danish tradition of furniture design.
We believe that form and function must go hand in hand to create innovative, durable designs for everyday use.
Since 1989 we have dedicated ourselves to Design and development of multifunctional sofa beds, but it all started in 1971 with a good idea in the spirit of the flower power generation – beanbags of the founder, Flemming Højfeldt. As the concept grew, Innovation Living™ was rewarded with several design prizes and engaged in a very fruitful cooperation with the famous Danish designer, Verner Panton.

Danish Production
Over the past 25 years, we have continually developed and refined our mattresses in order to improve comfort and durability.
Innovation Living™ was founded in 1971 in Denmark by Flemming Højfeldt, who is still the owner and Chairman of the company. Inspired by his personal experience with the first production communities of the flower power generation, he started the company with a production of beanbags.
For 15 years Innovation Living operated as a supplier to the furniture industry, but a desire to develop and manufacture own designs emerged at the end of the 80’es. Design students at the School of Architecture in Aarhus took part in a competition that ended up bringing forth a concept for contemporary sofa beds.

A Better Environment
Not only our design, but also our company values have a clear vision for the future. Innovation has a certified environmental profile, and all recyclable waste, like cardboard, plastic, iron and metal, is separated and used in other productions. Residual, combustible waste is incinerated in low-pollution plants. Packaging is reduced to the minimum needed for safe transportation.

We offer 5 year limited warranty (please read the terms of 5 year limited warranty below) on all designs. Our sofa beds are made to last, designed and manufactured with longevity in mind.
Quality is at the center of everything we do. Our sustainable design and production practices have been developed through the 30-year history of our business. We do not compromise on materials nor processes, which we believe support our mission of quality.
Undoubtedly, sofa beds are often perceived to be of poor quality and design. At Innovation Living we challenge conventions by rethinking how a sofa bed should look. We disregard expectations and push the boundaries to innovate compact living. The result is a line of bold, original designs that encompass what Danish Design is renowned for: Beauty, functionality, comfort, and quality.
Our functional parts are based on carefully tested mechanisms and the knowledge we have established since we started designing and producing sofa beds in 1989. As all sofa beds are produced at our own factories, we benefit from being able to directly control and assure our strict quality standards. In addition to our high internal standards, and to ensure we comply with the highest industry standards, we continuously subject ourselves to external audits of our manufacturing facilities.
